The Galápagos Islands

I have just come back from a week long expedition exploring the famous Galápagos Islands; Española, San Cristobal and Santa Fe to name a few. Lots of new content on my instagram, posting daily @alexhj_photos. Also updating the website to create a richer and more diverse portfolio and will be adding new photos and pages.

Back at it

Who knows how long it’s been since I stopped dedicating the time to my photography that it deserves, but after a break from it I have decided to come back to it, stronger and more focused than ever. I am kickstarting this with an expedition to Ecuador- first exploring the haven of Yasuní National Park and then the famous Galápagos Islands. Throughout I will keep posting insights on here on these two trips which I hope will provide many photographical opportunities.

Life in Quarantine

In these sad and desperate times in which we feel cut off from the world, it is important to find something you are passionate about, something to spend time on which for me has been my photography. Here is a photo I took a few days ago of a Grey gosling walking just in front of a man looking out at the lakes. In the last few months with the incessant of death and suffering ever-present, seeing this gosling take exploring its environment was comforting.
